Sutton, Pakfar & Courtney LLP has elected Grant Cohen to the firm's partnership in its corporate department

SPC is pleased to announce the appointment of Grant Cohen as Partner. Mr. Cohen's practice focuses on corporate and finance transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital and emerging company representation, and joint ventures. Mr. Cohen has advised clients across industries including technology, media and entertainment, video games, consumer products, real estate, mortgage, and healthcare.

Mr. Cohen regularly represents venture capital firms, private equity firms and strategic acquirers in connection with their investments and buy-side M&A transactions. He also has extensive experience representing startups and entrepreneurs, advising companies throughout their life-cycles, from formation to fund-raising, ongoing corporate governance, compliance, commercial activities, acquisitions, joint ventures and through exit planning and sell-side M&A.

Mr. Cohen joined the Firm as a lateral attorney from Latham & Watkins LLP, where he was a transactional associate in the M&A and Emerging Companies groups. Prior to his legal career, he worked for a startup incubator and venture capital firm, where he gained both investment and operational experience. He started his career as an analyst at a boutique investment bank in Chicago, IL, focusing on middle market M&A and financing transactions.

He earned his J.D. at the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Law. He graduated with a B.A., Economics and Finance, magna cum laude, at Washington University in St. Louis.
